How Kabaddi is played?

Kabaddi is played with a total of 12 players, in which 7 players are played on court and 5 players off court used as a substitutes. Duration of game is 40 minutes i.e. divided into two halves -  20 minutes for each half and 5 minutes’ rest time between the halves. Players are characterized as Raider’s, Defender’s.

Raider      

A Raider has a time of maximum limit of 30 seconds to raid. A Raider’s role is to touch the opposition player and return back to mid line, where he or she can earn a point for his or her team.



Defender


A Defender’s role is to catch the raider, should not allow to touch any player of defending team or stop him by taking where he or she earns a point for his or her team.
